TGIF: Love Stories & FF

February 10, 2012 Feature and Follow, Meme, TGIF 18

TGIF is a weekly meme to re-cap the week’s posts & to propose a question for our followers. It is run by Ginger at GReads.

Love Stories: What are some of your favorite fictional love stories?

Oh there are so many to chose from! Here are just a few of my favorites.

My favorite classic romance is Romeo and Juliet.  Ever since 9th grade English I have been in love with them.

My new favorite romance is Four and Tris (Divergent, Veronica Roth).  I couldn’t help but fall in love with them.

My old school favorite romance from back in the day is Jane and Cal (Nobody’s Baby But Mine, Susan Elizabeth Phillips).  Their romance was so sweet and funny.

FF 2012 Feature & Follow #83

Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read. Every week they feature a new blogger and ask a question.  Learn more about Feature & Follow.

What would you prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books?  And why?

I would rather read one of my favorite books over and over again.  As much as I love to read different books I think I would get tired of reading if the books were only mediocre.  Books are supposed to make you feel something and mediocre books don’t.  So I would rather just read one book that makes me feel something over and over.  Plus every time I reread a book I discover something new, or form a slightly different opinion than the first time I read it.

Yup – same here – I would read my favorites over & over again. Readin 100s of mediocre book would be just like wasting valuable time.

Ooh, Four and Tris! They’re a couple I totally didn’t expect to love. But I kind of want Four for myself…

I agree with your point on books making you feel something, but I’m not much of a re-reading fan. I know, I know. Shame on me! :)

Thanks for the follow. :) I’ve never read anything else by Shakespeare, I get frustrated reading old English. But Romeo and Juliet is such a beautiful story, plus there is the Leonardo DiCaprio/Clarie Danes version which is soooooo good.
