TGIF: Favorite Moment & FF: Book to Movie

March 2, 2012 Feature and Follow, Meme, TGIF 36

TGIF is a weekly meme to re-cap the week’s posts & to propose a question for our followers. It is run by Ginger at GReads
Book Moments: What has been your favorite moment (scene) in a book that you’ve read so far in 2012? Please be kind & not include spoilers.
There have been so many great moments in the books I’ve read it’s hard to choose (especially hard when you have to avoid spoilers).  I think I’m going to go have to go with the first time Cas goes to the house and meets Anna in Anna Dressed in Blood.  I loved the way he talked to her, coaxing her into coming out.  He saw the real her among the ghost and it was really sweet.  At least until the problems started anyway.
FF 2012 Feature & Follow #83
Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read. Every week they feature a new blogger and ask a question.  Learn more about Feature & Follow.

Q: What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?

I’m gonna go with The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin and Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella.  The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is so mysterious that I think it would appeal to a fairly large audience and Can You Keep a Secret is funny as hell!

Side note: I think One for the Money would have made a good TV series.  There is no way people are going to stay interested enough for 18 movies.

Okay, first things first, I am totally going to steal your Book Expo countdown!

Also, what book is the scene you picked as your favorite scene? Is it Anna Dressed in Blood?

And I agree with you movie choices, I think Can You Keep a Secret would make a really cute movie and it was the first book I read by Sophie Kinsella.

So Courtney and I were talking about doing some kind of blogger thing we’re several of us read the same book and do a little blog post together. Not every month, but maybe every 3 months? I think it would be fun, so let me know what you think!

Yes, Anna Dressed In Blood!!! Looooved all the scenes between Anna and Cas. Can’t wait for book 2.

And I agree that One for the Money would have made a better tv show.

I think the book could have been a stand alone. I was pretty happy with the ending but at the same time I will be reading the next book.

18 books is too many for movies. HP was pushing it at 7, and the only reason it worked was because of it’s complete awesomeness.

New follower on all the ones you have.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is one of my most favourite books ever, and I love to see it made into a film. Great picks, and I completely agree with you on One for the Money; critics hated the film. Personally, I thought it was okay.

New follower, thanks for stopping by and for the follow!

Anna Dressed in Blood is a book that I’ve heard so much about, and that I want to read, but I think I’ll hold off for a while. Gotta save up my creepy reads for Halloween :)

After reading “Twenties Girl”, Sophie Kinsella is on my TBR for life. Can You Keep a Secret? is next.

I agree that Mara Dyer would make a great movie! It’s one of my favorite book series, and there’s just so much about it–the story, characters, etc.–that would make it a movie everyone would like. Thanks for following my blog! :) I’m following back!
