Spring Into Horror Read-a-Thon

April 23, 2012 Readathon 3

I didn’t hear about this until yesterday, and I didn’t intend to do it, but since Dewey’s Read-a-Thon was a fail in the reading department for me and I have the week off from my part time job I have lots of time to catch up on reading.  And what better way to do it than Read-a-Thon style!

Spring Into Horror Read-a-Thon is hosted by Castle Macabre.  The Read-a-Thon credo is “a week of relaxed reading during which we can personally challenge ourselves and whittle away those ever looming TBR piles/shelves/libraries.” which is certainly something I need to do!

Here are the books I plan on reading

My scary book
Between by Jessica Warman
Glimmer by Phoebe Kitanidis
The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade (I know this one isn’t scary, but there is a ghost involved so I’m counting it)

My other books
Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan – Finished!
Partials by Dan Wells (already read 70 pages)
Social Suicide by Gemma Halliday – Finished!

I think that’s all I should pick out for now!
Small rant about Glimmer and The Ghost and the Goth: My library does not carry either of these books.  How disappointing!  I am trying to save money here and I feel like I am being forced into purchasing them.  Luckily I have not spent my ebook allowance this month so I can afford to do this!

I can’t wait to hear what you think about the Ghost and the Goth. :) I have two weeks off in about 2 weeks and I’ll be editing a manuscript and getting ready for BEA, but I’m hoping to take out a good chunk of my TBR pile.
