Sundays in Bed with… ????

April 29, 2012 In Bed With... 13

SundaysInBedWithSmallKate at Midnight Book Girl has started a new feature on Sunday mornings to share with everyone what you’re reading in bed Sunday morning before getting to the days activities.

I don’t typically read when I get up on Sunday, I usually head off to church and read for a bit when I get home.  Today I have a couple of choices and I’m just not sure yet what I want to read.

Jessica Warman BetweenBetween by Jessica Warman.  Between was so not what I was expecting and I’m just not feeling it right now.  It reminds me a lot of one of my favorite Christopher Pike books that I read when I was a kid.  Between is not a DNF book or anything, I’m just not really feeling it right now.

Dan Wells PartialsPartials by Dan Wells.  So far I’m really liking this book, and in my original post this was the book of choice.  But then the mail came and I got a package from Erin (Cullens to Classics) which contains a book that I am so incredibly excited to read and I know I’d rather read that book.  The only problem is that I have a list of things that I’d like to get done today and I fear if I pick up that book I won’t get anything done.

I will probably stick with Partials but I may feel extra motivated when I get home and start on my list instead.

Decisions, decisions!

Other News
* I was not so successful during the Spring into Horror Read-a-Thon.  But I read a ghost book, so that counts, right?
* I am not purchasing any more books until after BEA (except for my 2 preordered books, but they don’t count).  I have more than enough books to occupy my time, plus my mom has been hounding me to read The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.
* Every time I go to the Post Office it’s an adventure.  I went to mail 2 envelopes and a package from me and 2 packages from work.  Everything was already paid for except for one package.  I got there at 4:45 and the girl behind the counter rolled her eyes when I walked up to the counter with all my stuff.  Uncool.  Then we had to play the “How do you want to mail your package” game.

Me: “Whatever way is cheapest”
Her: “$19.95.”
Me: “No, I’m sorry, whatever way is cheapest”
Her: “Well, you can send it for $3.15 but that takes 7-10 days for delivery and there is no confirmation or tracking on the package.”
Me: (breathing in and breathing out) “I don’t need tracking or confirmation on the package I need to send it the cheapest way possible”
Her: (looking at me like I’m the crazy one) “OK would you like any stamps or packing supplies today?”
Me: (Handing her $3.15 and ignoring the question.)

What are you spending Sunday’s in bed with?

Wow, just wow on the post office trip. Fortunately since my move the post office here is far less annoying (some of the workers actually appear to like their job and try hard at that one thing… oh, what’s it called? Oh, customer service! That’s it!). I’m glad your liking Partials, it started a bit slow for me, and I much prefer his John Wayne Cleaver books, but it was a nice change from a lot of other YA dystopians. So what’s the mystery book that you got? You can’t even name it? It’s going to bug me all day if you don’t tell me.

I’m glad you’re liking Partials but I’ve seen your Tweets, I know what won out. ;)Enjoy!

So far partials is really good, but I just couldn’t stay away from Anna. Anna Dressed in Blood was really good, though it has it’s scary moments (but I’m a wuss so take that for what you will).

I like Kate’s meme, but never read in bed on Sunday mornings as I’m too busy sleeping! *L*

Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling Between right now, as it sounded intriguing. Maybe it will call your name later?

Hope you have a great week!

I wish I could sleep in, but I have this nasty habit of waking up by 6 everyday. Sigh. I ended up setting Between aside right now, and I really think the reason why I’m not feeling it right now is because I am super excited about The Girl of Nightmares, Insurgent and I’m really into Partials and I just don’t have it in me to be excited about anything else. So I’ll probably come back to it next week, or the week after.

I always get tracking, because the post office ALWAYS loses my stuff! They lost a box and a half of books that I shipped when I moved last summer… granted… that half a box was because my box fell apart, but still! How do you tape a box of books back up and not put the fallen books back in…?

I went to the post office recently to send a package to Turkey for a friend and the woman behind the counter had me fill out this really long form that had all this detailed information on it, I actually had to call my friend to get a lot of the information from her, and then after I filled it out and got back up to the counter (by this point it was past their closing but they were waiting for me) it turned out that since my package didn’t weigh that much I didn’t have to fill out the extended form. Instead I had to fill out this really small form that just wanted to know what was in the package. I was pretty frustrated by that point but at least she didn’t try to sell me stamps!

Once FEAR measures begin to exhibit that FEAR is dissipating, I intend to take a position as much as 50% of my funds inside model portfolio stocks while awaiting a new BUY signal in the Decision Point timing model payday loans online there is not any need for the long process however, you just have to fill a web-based application which is fax less as well as simple.
