Sunday’s in bed with… The Girl Who Played with Fire

April 1, 2012 In Bed With... 13

The “I made my bed for you” edition

Kate at Midnight Book Girl has started a new feature on Sunday mornings to share with everyone what you’re reading in bed Sunday morning before getting to the days activities.

I don’t see the point of making your bed.  It’s just going to get messed up the next night anyway.  And unless you are having company over no one is going to see it… so why bother?  And even if you are having company over, unless you are showing your house to them they aren’t going to be venturing into your bedroom anyway.  But I took the time (ok, it was only a minute) to make my bed so I could actually take a pic.

This morning I spent some time with The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson.  My mom has been patiently waiting for me to finish it so we can talk about it.  I promised her it would be done this week.

What book are you spending Sunday in bed with?

Kimberly

I read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for book club years ago, but for some reason I never really got that into it. I know that Kate likes the series though, a lot of people do. Maybe I should go back and give it another try some day…

I really need to read this one. I have the whole series sitting on my book shelf and I think I have at least the first book on my kindle, as well. I just heard that the first half was boring and I hate books that start slow, especially if they are long. Can’t wait to read what you think about it, though.

Thank you for making your bed for us! I just pull up the comforter and call it made! *L*

I tend to go to bed later than my DH, so don’t read in bed. Cool idea though! I haven’t read this series, but have heard nothing but great things about it. Hope you and your mom enjoy!

Seriously, Bitt, give the next book a chance! I hope you get a chance to finish this weekend, Kim! Thanks for hosting book club last night, sorry that one person took away some of the fun though. Oh, and Aaron totally ate ALL of the brownies you gave me when I was away this morning taking Mom to church. ALL of the brownies. Like all of them. For breakfast. *shaking my head*

LOL! Calm down, we’re all friends here and don’t care if you make your bed or not. ;) I only make mine to keep my cat from burrowing down in the covers and getting her hair everywhere!

So much nicer to curl up in a newly made bed, and all the better if it’s with a good book. I spent Sunday morning finishing Tooth And Nail by Ian Rankin.

There are some great picks for your TTT! I’m about to read Anna and the French Kiss, so if I like it (which I don’t know why I wouldn’t) I’ll probably read Lola also. Here’s mine :)

I’m with you on the whole bed thing. But I’ve made my bed for some pictures on my blog before, too! ;)

I’m in the same book club with Courtney, and when we read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I liked it, but I didn’t love it. But I saw all the Swedish movies when they came on Netflix and they were pretty good. Books 2 & 3 are on my TBR list, so one of these days I’ll get to them!

Sorry I’m just commenting on this now – I’m trying to catch up with my Google reader! ;)
