Sunday’s in Bed with… The Wishing Spell

July 29, 2012 In Bed With... 12

PhotobucketSunday’s in Bed is hosted by Kate at Midnight Book Girl to share with everyone what you’re reading in bed Sunday morning before getting to the days activities.

I wrote this post and then forgot to schedule it so it’s going up when the morning is all but over.  Sadly it looks like I won’t have much reading time today since real life keeps intruding on my plans.

Chris Colfer The Wishing Spell

Today I’m hope to read The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer.  I received a copy of this at BEA during the Children’s Author Breakfast and originally I was going to give my copy away because I don’t really read middle grade a lot of middle grade.  But after listening to Chris Colfer talk (he was surprisingly funny), I decided I wanted to read it after all.

I’ll be reading it with Courtney from Abducted by Books.  :)

I forgot to announce my Insurgent Giveaway Winner last week (oops!)

The winner is… Christina!

Congratulations Christina.  She has already been emailed :)

What are you reading today?

YAY! I’m so excited to start reading this! All I have to do is write my post for it and then I’ll be ready to start reading!

Tell the rest of your life to take a back seat on Sundays! – Unless the rest of your life consists of making time to keep watching the Olympics because I will be having the Olympics on in the background all day!

I spent 6 hours yesterday installing light fixtures in my house (I had only planned on 3) and then I had to mow the lawn and by the time I was finished I was too exhausted to work so that’s what I have to do today :(

But I have been watching the Olympics all day :)

I’m starting the Chris Colfer book soon. I’m doing a week of middle grade stuff with a giveaway. I agree — Chris Colfer stands out to me from the sea of celeb authors because he a) really wrote the book and b) showed us those cute drawings he made when he was little. He’s always been my favorite Glee character.

Hope Kate is having fun at the beach!!

I was surprised to see you are reading the same book as me Kim. Great minds think alike I see. I am loving this book and I have to admit that I am planning on buying a finished copy when I go to the US this week. I never buy finished copies of a book but this is my exception to the rule.

Hey did you know that from my place to roughly your area its only 13 hours. Darn wish I knew that before planning my trip LOL I so would have loved to have see you and Kate again. I miss you guys :(

I’ll be honest it’s been a bit of a struggle and there is definitely a reason why I don’t really read middle grade, but it is cute.

We will have to make some arrangements (Kate too) to meet up sometime, somewhere. :) I miss your Canadian magic!

I’m jealous you guys are reading it together… but not jealous enough to change my own reading plans. Can’t wait to hear what you both think about it.
