Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

You guys, I am not even kidding when I say this… I met my goals. For real. This never happens to me (for readathons, I can meet other goals). My goals were to finish The Raven Boys (done!) and read 3 other books (also done!) and start Gone Girl (again, done!). Seriously, I did all these things.

The Books

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater (235 pages) ✭✭✭✭

It was so good. I can’t believe I passed on this at BEA. What was I thinking?

Across the Universe by Beth Revis (398 pages) ✭✭✭✭✭

This book was amazing! Seriously. I NEVER thought I would say that about a book that takes place in space.

Things I Can’t Forget by Miranda Kenneally (304 pages) ✭✭✭✭✭

There are no words for this book. It’ll be hard for any other book this year to top what I feel for this one.

Forever and a Day by Jill Shalvis (324 pages) ✭✭✭✭

I want to live in Lucky Harbor so bad!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (3.5 hours listened)

Narrator is excellent and the book is so beautifully written.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (30 pages)

I’m only 30 pages in so I really don’t have an opinion yet. But I’m excited!

The Final Tally

Total pages: about 1250. I’m too lazy to get an exact count.

Total books finished: 4

Oh yeah! Congratulations on meeting all of your goals. That rocks. : ) I only met one of mine but I still feel a little warm and fuzzy about it.

Way to go! What really impresses me is how much you liked everything you read. That’s awesome!

Congratulations!!! So cool that you made all your goals! I totally stink at read-a-thons, but you’ve inspired me! :)

You did great! I read the Raven Boys for a book tour and I loved it too. Glad you are enjoying Daughter of Smoke and Bone. It was the first audio book that I ever listened to. The narrator is mesmerizing and sometimes I would just get lost in her ‘voice’ but I loved the story.
