Bout of Books 6.0!

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

I wasn’t going to participate this time because my weekend is full, but then I thought, why not do it, even if I can only do it Monday – Friday.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 7th and runs through Sunday, January 13th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 6.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. -From the Bout of Books 6.0 team

Time Devoted to Reading

I will be reading Tuesday-Friday after work. I may get some reading in on Monday, but we’ll have to see how work pans out. I’m also going to try to squeeze in some reading between activities on Saturday.

My Goals

  • Finish The Raven Boys
  • To read 3 other books

Books to Read

  • Finish The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Across the Universe by Beth Revis
  • Things I Can’t Forget by Miranda Kenneally
  • Start Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
  • (Possible) Incarnate by Jodi Meadows
  • (Possible) Who I Kissed by Janet Gurtler
  • And as always, whatever I feel like ;)

Yay, I’m glad you’re participating Kim! One of the things I love about Bout of Books is how low pressure it is. Even though your weekend is full, you can still totally participate, and it’s great that you are. And there’s no pressure at all to read more than you can. :D Anyways, you’ve got some great books on your list! Across the Universe is a great book, especially for a readathon! It’s totally addicting, and has a fabulous plot. Also, I suggest that you pick up Incarnate if you can! The concept is so neat, and I love how unique it is.

Good luck during the readathon! <3

Alright! : ) Glad you decided to participate. The openness of Bout of Books is so refreshing – no stress!

I’m so glad you haven’t read Incarnate because now I don’t feel like the only person on this planet to have it sitting on the shelves, still unread. What a relief!

I hope you enjoy all of your reads and get to read as much as your bookish heart desires. And, of course, good luck!

I love that Bout of Books is no stress too, though I would actually like to hit my goal one of these times ;)

I’d like to get to Incarnate this week but I just don’t know. Too many books, not enough time.

I still need to read The Raven Boys, I guess I’m putting it off since I didn’t really like the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by her.

Happy reading though, I hope you are able to meet your goal!

Nice list! I’ve got Across the Universe waiting patiently on Mount TBR, and my paperback of Gone Girl arrived last week too, wheeee! I was hoping I might be able to read that one this week, but Jane Eyre’s proving to be more of a ‘slow but steady’ read this time around so I don’t think I’ll get to it. Oh well…

A great day of reading on Day 2 – hope you’re having just as much success (and fun) on Day 3! :)
