Happy Blogiversary to Me!!!

October 28, 2013 Blogiversary 8

Two years and six days ago I sat down at my computer and in an effort to participate in Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon I started this blog. Sometimes I am still surprised that I am still doing this. I know I haven’t been around much lately, but it’s not because I don’t want to. Between my new job, my part time job and other obligations I commit to on the weekends I have been so exhausted. Every time I think I get caught up something else happens or is going on, and as much as I live blogging it’s had to take a back seat. I’m still doing a fair amount of reading though, which kind of surprises me, but it’s so much easier to crawl into bed with a book then it is to work on the computer or even watch TV.

Looking back on the past year

Move to WordPress

The biggest thing that happened this year was the move to WordPress. Guys, I LOVE WordPress. LOVE. IT. I love all the things I can do with it, I love how pretty it looks and I love the Ultimate Book Blogger Plugin (and all the other plugins). I have no desire to use anything else.

The Books

I’ve read some pretty amazing books in the past year, but my absolute favorites are: Pivot Point by Kasie West, Everbound by Brodie Ashton and Always On My Mind by Jill Shalvis. The two most disappointing books I’ve read were The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller and The Shade of the Moon by Susan Beth Pfeffer.

What the next year will look like

We’ll I’ve finally written some reviews so I hope I can keep up posting one review a week. Over Christmas break and summer break I plan on getting ahead which is something I wish I had done this past summer, but it just didn’t work out.

Instead of participating in the A to Z challenge (I still plan on running one) I am going to challenge myself to read certain types of books. For example, I’ve never read a historical romance so that is going to be one of the categories.

I also have some discussion post ideas, I just need the time to write them so look for those in the future!

I also want to give a huge thanks to all my awesome blogging friends. I used to feel so alone with my reading and reading has become a million times better now that I know all of you exist!
