This year I am spending Christmas in Wisconsin and while I love my family and I am excited to see everyone, I am not excited about the weather. Despite the fact that I’ve only been here for 2 days it’s been an eventful trip thus far.
When I left Sunday morning at 5am it was 65 degrees in Richmond. I was flying to Milwaukee with a layover in Detroit. Detroit is my least favorite airport of all time, but it cost $50 more to fly anywhere else so I sucked it up. I was a bit nervous though as there was a storm coming into Wisconsin and I did not want to get stuck in Detroit!
Luckily there were no delays and I left Detroit without a hitch, until we got to Milwaukee and had to circle the airport for 30 minutes while they plowed the runway. Spending an extra 30 minutes in a plan sucks, but it’s better than be rerouted.
We got about 6 inches total at my parents house, about 9 inches by the lake. Besides all the snow I was also greeted with this
Brrrrrrrr. I cannot handle this type of cold any more!
I’m hoping to spend a good part of my break reading, reviewing and relaxing!
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
