BB New Years Challenge * TBR Shelf

January 11, 2014 BB New Years Challenge 10

newyearschallengeParajunkee is hosting a Book Blogger New Year’s Challenge and it’s just what I need to get in back in the swing of things!

There is a new topic each day for the first 14 days of 2014. You can read all about it here and I hope you join in the fun!

Day 11: TBR Shelf: How many?

Between too many and not as many as others.

Since it says shelf, I’m just counting my actual shelf so no ebooks or audiobooks. Actual total: 72. Not bad, right?

My goal for this year is to read more from my TBR shelf. This was my goal last year and it didn’t work out so well, but I feel better about this year!

    72? I hate you.

Lol, kidding! You’re right, it’s more than some, not as many as others. It’s also pretty manageable for someone of your reading speed skills.

Maybe I can get my down a bit more before BEA. Get more honest with what I’m going to read and what I’m probably never going to be in the mood for (although I was fairly brutal the other day, I even got rid of a few books that were signed). At least I have an actual idea of what I need to read, which I didn’t have before when they were scattered around the house.

You know that’s just print copies right? I can’t even with my ebooks right now.

I still need to do more culling. I also need to learn to say no if I don’t think I’m going to read a book by an author at a multi-author signing and not feel bad about not buying their book.

I know right! I need publishers to take like 3 months off from publishing books so I can get (kind of) caught up!

72 isn’t so bad :) I’ve seen some posts for this challenge with well over 900 books on the blogger’s TBR shelf!

Good luck with your reading this year :)
